Glow Tested

How we pick

No paid placements, no fake testers. Here's exactly how a product earns a spot on Glow Therapy.

The method

Picked, not paid for.

  1. We pick what's worth your money

Trending, asked about in our DMs, or quietly loved for years. Brands can send products, but they can't buy a spot.

  2. We read the evidence

Ingredient lists, published studies and dermatologist guidance. If the science is thin, we say so on the page.

  3. We check the price

Prices come from the brand's own site, with the date we checked. Amazon prices only show at Amazon.

  4. We find the catch

Every product page says who should skip it and what the trade-off is. If we can't find a catch, we look harder.

  5. We write the verdict first

The short answer, who it's for, who should skip it, and the catch. Then the details.

  6. We keep it current

Prices and formulas change. We recheck and update the date on the page when they do.

The Glow Score

Four questions, one score

Coming as we put products through real, long-term use. Until a product has a score, it shows none.

  1. Results

Does it do what it says, on a real face, over weeks?

  2. Feel

Texture, scent, how it plays with makeup and the rest of your ritual.

  3. Value

Price per use, not price on the tag. A $20 thing you finish beats a $90 thing you don't.

  4. Would I rebuy it

The most honest question in beauty. If we would not, we say so.

FAQ

Asked and answered

Do brands pay to be featured?

No. Some links earn us a commission, and we label them. Payment never buys a spot or changes our take.

Do you test every product?

Not yet. Today every pick is researched: ingredients, published evidence and real-world reviews. We'll only show a Glow Score once we've used a product for weeks, and we'll name who did.

Is GlowMax held to the same standard?

Yes. We label it Ours everywhere, and its page says who should skip it and what the catch is.

What if a product changes after you pick it?

We update the page and the date. If a change makes us like it less, we say so.
